Kyoto Circuit Trail Kitayama Eastern course

We try to the Kyoto mountain for TrailRunning this weekend with my TrailRunning friends.
The Kitayama eastern course takes we from near the top of Mt Hiei along the ridge separating Kyoto and neighbouring Shiga prefecture,and then drops down to the village of Ohara.From there it goes up & down over the Ebumi Pass to Shizuhara village, then up another ridge and finally down again to the wonderful Kurama and Kifune area. Kyoto City is prized for not just the beauty of its man-made structures but its natural beauty as well.It is easy to forget, but Kyoto City is surrounded by mountains and deep forests.there is even a well maintained trail that goes through those mountains. The Kyoto Circuit Trail goes all around the perimeter of Kyoto and inside some of the city too. This Trail course is quite long ,so you might not be able to complete it all at once, but this is the great way to enjoy the natural of splendor of Kyoto Mountain!
